Your rankings: every film in order of fear with its scare score.
A film page: the community scare score beside your own.
Ranking in Gasper: two films head to head, asking which was scarier.
The whole system: which was scarier?

Three steps, one number.

  1. 1

    Log it

Search any horror film the night you watch it and add it to your shelf. Horror only — nothing else gets in.

  2. 2

    Answer one question

Which one scared you more? A few quick head-to-head matchups place the new film against everything you've seen.

  3. 3

    Get its scare score

The film settles into your ranking with a score from 1.0 to 10.0 — your fear, measured, not a star rating you agonised over.

The scare score

One number that means one thing.

Stars measure whether a film is good. Gasper measures the only thing you actually wanted to know before pressing play: how scary is it?

  • Every film scored 1.0–10.0, from your own matchups
  • Community score beside yours on every film page
  • Loved it anyway? The heart is separate, on purpose
A film lands in your rankings with a 7.5 scare score, tenth of forty-nine.

Your fear profile

Find out what kind of coward you are.

Your scores get weighed against the crowd's on the films you share. The gap becomes your Scare Tolerance — a spectrum with a place for everyone, from Terror-Prone to Unshakeable.

The leaderboard

Make it a competition.

Every film you log counts. Race the whole community — or just your circle — up the leaderboard, and hold the crown for most horror survived.

  • Global and following-only boards
  • Weekly streaks for watching consistently
The Gasper leaderboard: most films watched, a skeleton hoisting the trophy.

Watch together

Fear is better with witnesses.

Follow friends, see what wrecked them this week, and argue about it in the comments. Somewhere out there is your fear twin — the one person who scares exactly like you. Gasper finds them.

  • A feed of what your people just survived
  • Stalk directors, actors and studios for release day
  • A nightly pick when you can't decide
The Gasper feed: rankings and want-to-watches from people you follow.

Scary is the only question.
Gasper is how you answer it.

Before you download

What does it cost?

Nothing to log, rank, follow friends and see your stats. A paid tier may come later for power features; the core stays free.

Why horror only?

Because one genre means one honest axis. A scare score across comedies and documentaries would mean nothing — inside horror, it means everything.

Do I pick the score myself?

No — that's the point. You answer quick either/or matchups against films you've already seen, and the score falls out of your answers.

Where does the film data come from?

TMDB — the same catalogue most film apps use.
